How to Enjoy New Year's Eve at home with kids

You really like News year's Eve and want to go out to celebrate with spouse or friends, but you have children and don't have a babysitter or prefer not to leave your kids in the care of others. You now have to stay home for New Years Eve. Well now you have a chance to have fun with the whole family. Get everyone up off the computers, tv, and phones and get them involved. Let go and be in the moment and enjoy the last moments of the year because it will never be this year again.

Decorate the house
Decorations always bring the holiday spirit and sets a good environment. There are decorates available for purchase at the stores. If low on funds or want to make them (hand made is always fun, plus you can get the kids to help). Time to pull out the paper, tape, and markers and get creative.

Make new years resolutions

Get everyone to write down what they want this new year to be like, what they want to achieve this year. It would be fun to tell each others resolutions. When you think of your goals and wants your already on your way to reaching it. Put in action and you will see results. Bring your dreams true, only you can.

Have a good meal

Cook a good dinner for you and your family, last dinner of the year. Spice it up with some sparking cider for the kids and some wine for the adults, but make sure not to get drinks mixed up. We don't want a bunch of drunk kids running around, need I even say it makes a mother look bad but, hey things happen. Why not bring out some snacks, they are always great for parties.

play games

Playing games is a fun way to spend time with your kids. Kids absolutely love playing games, especially with adults(well my younger sister and nephew does anyways lol). Come up with games that sparks the interest of all individuals. Play games that you guys have never played before. Some other great activities are,

-Building with cardboard

-Card games

-Board games

countdown

When it's time, grab the poppers or get ready to give your spouse or special one a big smooch because countdown is ready to begin. Enjoy the New Year!

5 Natural Tips For Healthy Hair

We all want to feel good and look good, I keep hearing "We are what we eat." I truly believe that. When you eat crappy, you feel crappy. I know when I eat good I feel good, the goal is to be happy and healthy. Hair is a protein filament that grows from the follicles. Typically, the average healthy hair is full, shinny, smooth, no flakes, frizz, or any other visible damage. We all can have beautiful healthy shinny hair.

 1. Eat well

A healthy diet is essential for your hair, fish oil, Protein, omega 3, iron, and vitamin B are really great for hair. Drink lots of water to make sure your well hydrated.  Eat vegetable, fruits, seeds, nuts, and good protein. A diet rich in fried fatty foods and little water can lead to dandruff.

2. Handle hair with care

Hair is more fragile than one would imagine, It can rip and break if your not careful. Imagine your hair is like your best blouse, you try to prevent it from ripping.  When you want to untangle your hair, use your fingers or a comb instead of a brush. Hair is easiest to damage when wet, so it's best to wait till your hair is dry before combing. Ponytails and braids can also lead to damage if hair is pulled too tightly. Get your hair trimmed about every 3 months, earlier if you see a lot of split ends. When split ends are not trimmed they will continue to split up the length of your hair, causing more damage.

3. Use heat styling devices, dyes, and other permanent treatments sparingly

Try avoiding using too much styling products, save it for special occasions. Applying heat to your hair can cause damage, instead let your hair air dry. When using a blow dryer make sure to use it on a cool setting. Before using a heat styling device, be sure to put  protective serum in your hair. Learn to love your natural hair color because hair dye damages your hair and it causes it to dry out.

4. Wash your hair 3-4 times a week

Don't wash your hair every day, it dries it out and washes away the natural oils that are produced from the scalp. When washing hair, wash with cold water. Hot water is harsh on your hair and can lead to frizz and split ends. When your done washing your hair carefully pat it dry with a towel, then let it finish air drying.

5. Use homemade hair remedies

Using homemade remedies can help bring moisture back in your hair. I have used mayonnaise in the past, my hair came out looking great. The smell is pretty yucky, I rarely eat mayonnaise anymore. Here are some better remedies,
  • Egg yolks- rich in fats and proteins and great to use on dry hair.
  • Egg whites- contains bacteria eating enzymes that removes unwanted oils, great for oily hair.
  • Hair repair- smash avocado, mix in eggs and honey.

Sims 4

The new game was released in the us on September 2, 2014. I'm a big Sims fan, I own most of them. When I heard The Sims 4 is coming out I knew I had to get this game The Sims 4 Limited Edition

As soon as the game loads the main screen looks way different, the play button is to the bottom right.

I didn't get to pick a town first like normally, instead it starts with you creating your family.

The modification of Sims is the best so far, you can change so many details with your mouse by pulling in the direction you want.
I finished creating a family.

I'm not the biggest fan of how you move into houses, I really liked you you choose in 3, but, I'm giving it a shot. In live/buy mode it looks really nice. It will take some getting use to controlling the views.

Pros

  • Better way of creating Sims
  • You can choose their walk
  • Way more emotions
  • Take a test to see if your pregnant
  • Still control other households in the world
  • Great graphic
  • Children have more options
  • The Sims menu

Cons

  • Everything is in lots like in Sims 2, want to go to the library you have to use your cell phone to travel to that lot. you have to wait for a loading screen.
  • No vehicles
  • The world is smaller
  • They skipped toddler years
  • This is how you travel

I personalty think they should have kept things like 3 and advanced the game and options. Over all I did like the game and I am gonna continued to play.

Pretty Little Liars

Pretty Little Liars is a drama series that appeared on ABC Family June, 8th 2010, since then they have aired 107 more episodes. PLL (Pretty Little Liars) is based on a novel series by Sara Shepard. I have not read the series yet, but I want to start. I have watched all the episodes that has been released. 5 seasons in and we STILL don't know A, SPOILERS AHEAD!! Okay so we know that Mona is original A. Uber A/ Red took over and stole the game after Mona was caught. The fire at the lodge caused Red coat to get a new disguise The Black Widow. There are so many questions left unanswered that i really want to know.

  • Who hit Alison over the head with a rock?
  • Who buried Alison?
  • Who killed and buried Mrs. DiLaurentis
  • Who killed Garret?
  • What really happened to Toby's mom?
  • Who tried to drown Jenna?
  • What happened at the frat party to get Cece kicked out of school?
  • Who was the shadow we saw upstairs when Jason lived "alone"?
  • Who's blood was on Ali's anklet?
  • What happened the night that Jason had a party at his home and Ali came over to Spencer crying?
  • What did Maya want to tell Emily the day she died?
  • Who was Mrs. DiLaurentis protecting?
  • What's with the ghost twin story Ali tells on Halloween, Ashley (Hanna's mom) saw one ghost twin?
  • Why was Caleb's gravestone in Ravenswood?
  • Why did Bethany escape from Radley?
The night Alison was supposedly killed, Mrs. D was talking to someone on the phone "How could this happen, I don't understand (she then tells Ali she doesn't want her going out that night) you have to send someone immediately. Is there any news, i'm very worried."  That is the night Bethany young escaped, was she talking about Bethany.

I would love for the series finale to do a flash back to answer unanswered questions.

Who do you think A is?

Positive Beats Depression

I personally know what depression feels like, I felt depression the first time after having my son, I struggled with it for about 3 years. 2 years in i finally gave into giving medicine a try. I was put on citalopram 20mg and eventually went to 40mg. I am at 40mg now and fell i'm ready to be weaned down to 20 for a little while then 10, then wean off completely. I want to wean myself like this because i had bad experience quitting cold turkey. I will never do that willingly again. It put me right back into Depression. I don't think medicine is the best route unless you are so low your considering opting out of life
Depression can make you lose joy in everything you do in life, It strips you away slowly. You start to wonder who you are, will life get better? I got so depressed for so long I forgot what it felt like to not be depressed. I never attempted suicide, I had to much to live for. My son, fiance, the rest of my family and ME. I got to the point where I did nothing all day, but take care of my son. I was a stay at home mom and still am. I would get anxiety and panic attacks. At first I didn't know what I was going through, My chest would tighten up and start pounding rapidly. my vision started acting funny and i got bad migraines, I also got dizzy.  I made multiple doctor visits without any solutions, I really thought something was wrong with me. I started believing I had cancer or i was gonna have a stroke (I would get numb on the left side of my face/body from migraines). When  I was younger my dad got cancer and i wouldn't leave his side while he was in the hospital, i missed school to stayed in the hospital. I went to all radiation treatments but one because my dad made me take a day to myself. He pulled through it and is cancer free today.  I think him having cancer brought a fear that I was gonna get it someday. My parents were over at my house because they were worried about me. I started to have an anxiety attack right in the middle of our conversation. My chest tightened, I started getting dizzy, my visions started to get white and narrow and I couldn't hardly breathe. My dad witnessed my anxiety, I didn't know it was anxiety at the time. I always tried to keep what was happening inside because my mom would ask me 100 questions (because she cares lol). My dad told me he went through the same thing when he was my age. I finally figured out what was going on, I went back to the doctors and she wanted to put me on antidepressants. I told her I wasn't ready to be put on them, I wanted to do this on my own. I went home and found out all i could about anxiety and how to control it. I kept fighting anxiety but i still felt this really dark cloud over me. I went another year fighting It and finally gave in to antidepressants.  I was diagnosed with severe depression. I started with 10mg and waited for them to start working.
When they started working i was able to laugh again, but it was only about every other day (better then being sad everyday). It was like this for months until I thought I could do this without the medicine, I quit cold turkey, that was a big mistake. I felt so icky, I didn't want to get out of bed, I would cry all day. I went back to the doctor and was put on 40 mg. I was so determined to beat this stupid depression/ anxiety, it has controlled my life for to long. I realized the medicine wont do it all by itself , I realized i was looking at my life in such a negative way. I was always a glass empty kind of gal, I wanted to love life again.
I started to change my outlook in life, I was always harsh on myself and suffered from low self-esteem.

Love Yourself

I started with learning to love myself and letting go of all my mistakes in life, You have to love yourself if you want happiness. You can't be happy 24/7 because us humans have to feel bad to really know and enjoy the good. The hard times let us reflect on our lives and to be able to make changes for the better. The next one I had a hard time achieving. Stop negative self talk. Replace it with positive self talk, tell yourself everyday how beautiful/handsome you are,  how smart and talented you are. Stand in front of the mirror and tell yourself out loud all your positive features,  don't even mention the negative (that can be tough). Appearances are not the most important aspect to us humans, our inner self is so much more important. Treat yourself like you would treat your best friend, Become your best friend (that doesn't mean you can't keep your best friends now lol). You want to stop being the victim and start creating your life. You are capable of anything and everything, your mind is way more powerful than one can imagine. your mind can make you sick if you focus on that sickness, if you act a victim you are a victim. Some might feel that pride is bad but I personally think it is good to be proud of yourself.

Love Others

The old saying is right, treat others how you want to be treated. Don't judge others because you have no clue
what they are going through in life. We need to grow a larger understanding of others and learn to accept them as them. people are afraid of love, real love. unconditional where no matter what they do they will love them. We are meant to love, enjoy and to create in this life, we need to accept others for who they are. We are all the same, we all came from the same source, we are all in this together but, it seems everyone has forgotten this. Every person you meet has something special to give you—that is, if you are open to receiving it. Each encounter offers you the gift of greater self-awareness by illustrating what you do and don’t accept about yourself. An honest look will show you that the reactions you have to others give you more information about yourself than about them.

                                                  Create

Creating can make you feel so good and accomplished, even if its silly little things. Doll houses made from cardboard for your daughter or another precious kid. They will feel special you made something handmade for them. I feel so good when I complete my drawings. Its a feeling I can't describe. Its about the creation process. The feeling you get when you make things out of nothing. Eventually you can make a career with enough determination and belief in yourself. If you never give up, you will not fail. Hardly anyone achieves their goals on their first try. They achieve because when things go rough they don't give up and keep going until they achieve. The only limits we have are the limits we put on ourselves. creating doesn't have to be limited, create the life you have been dying to live.

Enjoy What You Do

Find the things that make you feel the happiest, freest, and most satisfied when your doing them. That doesn't mean neglect the house because you don't feel like cleaning. there are challenges that don't seem fun will help achieve a lot. you want to create your own fun, turn on the radio and dance around while cleaning. Make the best out of your situation, there is always good and bad in every thing, so, focus on the good in every situation.

We have the power to change ourselves, It all is everyone of us. The power is our minds, change your mind set and be the YOU, you want to be.

Did Lizzie Borden kill her parents?

Did Lizzie Borden kill her parents?

I ended up watching Lizzie Borden Took An Axe on Netflix, In my opinion it was an okay movie. I don't want to spoil anything for any non-viewers, but, the producer/writer portrayed her as the killer. No one was ever convicted for the Borden murders. I started wondering if Lizzie really killed her parents, for some reason I really wanted her to be actually innocent (not court innocent). The more I looked into it the more I thought she was guilty.  I remember the rhyme my sister used to tell me.

                              Lizzie Borden took an axe
And gave her mother forty whacks.
When she saw what she had done,
                               She gave her father forty-one.

Andrew Borden(23) and Sarah Morse(22) married on Christmas day, 1845. Five years later on March 1, 1851 they added baby girl Emma Borden to their lives.

They had another little girl named Alice but she died from Hydrocephalus (water on the brain).
Couple years after that tragedy, baby Lizzie Borden was born on July 19, 1860. Tragedy struck again in the Borden family when Sarah Borden died of uterine congestion three weeks after Emma's twelve birthday.
Before Sarah died she asked Emma to always look after little Lizzie.

The year 1865 Andrew Borden and Abby Gray married, Emma was twelve and Lizzie was five. It was clear that Emma and Lizzie were not close to their step mother. Andrew Borden made most of his fortune being a funeral director, he had a reputation of overcharging, under-servicing and cheating his clients.
Lizzie also had a reputation of being a shoplifter, the store clerks were told if Lizzie is caught shoplifting to charge it on Andrews bill.

August 4, 1892 Andrew Borden was found dead by his younger daughter Lizzie, he was hit 10-11 times in the left side of his face by a hatchet.

Shortly after the discovery of Andrew, Abby Borden was found up in the guest room by Bridget and Mrs.Churchill, Abby had been hit 19-20 times by a hatchet to the back of her head. Laying next to her was a piece of her scalp with braided hair still connected.

On August 11th, 1892, the same day that Lizzie Borden concluded her testimony, she was formally arrested by Marshal Hilliard and conducted to the matron's quarters at the police station in Fall River. She was not to see her home again until after the verdict at the criminal trial was reached on June 20th, 1893

The trial of Lizzie Andrew Borden was held in the city of New Bedford before the Superior Court for the County of Bristol, Massachusetts starting on June 5, 1893.

The Time of the murders, Bridget Sullivan and Lizzie Borden were the only two people present at the Borden household. The day before the murders, john Morse (Sarah's brother/Lizzie and Emma's uncle) came to stay with the Borden's. He had a good alibi the day of the murders. John left in the morning to go visit his family that was visiting also visiting Fall River.

Two weeks before the murders in 1892, Emma went to stay with friends in Fair Haven and, like her Uncle John Morse, had a perfect alibi for the murders on August 4th. Notified by telegram about the death of her father and stepmother, Emma returned to Fall River, arriving sometime around 5:00 p.m.

On the day of the murders, Abby asked Bridget to wash the windows inside and out. As Bridget was washing windows she heard Mr Borden struggling with the lock to get in the house. She went over and struggled with the lock herself, frustrated she let out a sound and heard Lizzie giggling upstairs. Lizzie greeted her father and told him Abby received a note and gone out. As Bridget is washing windows in the dinning room, Lizzie came in and talked with Bridget telling her again that Abby receive a not that a friend was ill. Bridget wasn't feeling all that well, she decided to go lay down in her room in the attic.
Bridget heard the city bell strike 11a.m. Shortly after she heard Lizzie calling for her. "Maggie, come down Quick! Father is dead. Someone has come in and killed him."
Bridget came down and ran for help, when she came back, police have already arrived to the scene. Dr. Brown sent Bridget up to Andrews bedroom to get sheets to cover the body. Lizzie suggested Bridget to go up and look for Abby in front of the house (Lizzie now claimed that she thought she had heard her come in the house), Bridget declined because she was too scared to go alone. Accompanied by Mrs. Churchill, They discovered Abby's body in the guest room, laying face down on the ground by the bed.

-August 3 Lizzie attempted to buy prussic acid
-Lizzie told a friend she was afraid someone was gonna kill her dad
-Alice Russell's witnessed Lizzie burning a dress on Sunday, the morning after she was informed by Mayor Coughlin that she was a suspect
-Abby Borden didn't have an enemy in the world, except Lizzie. Only Lizzie would have had a motive to want to harm Abby.
-If Lizzie was around the house when the murders occurred, she would have heard the killings
-Lizzie told everyone that Abby received a note, a friend was ill and she should come. No note was ever discovered.
-Lizzie claimed to be in the barn for about twenty minutes gathering items for an up coming fishing trip. It was stated that the barn was incredibly hot and it was unlikely anyone would stay in there for that long.
-Bridget the maid herd giggles at the top of the stairs when talking to Mr. Borden.(that means she was close to Abby)
-No blood upon her;
-Nothing to link her directly to a murder weapon;
-Lizzie was free to move about as she saw fit; and Her presence on the second floor does not prove her guilt

Lizzie and Abby didn't have that great of a relationship but that doesn't mean she is the killer. There is so much that points to Lizzie being the killer. There is also rumors that Andrew Borden abused/molested Lizzie but there is no actual evidence and i couldn't find enough information about the matter. It appeared Andrew looked after his daughters and tried to give them a good life, but we never no what happens behind closed doors.

At approximately 4:30 p.m. the justices resumed their seats, the jury was brought in, and a verdict of Not Guilty was returned. At approximately 4:38 p.m., the Court was adjourned.

Lizzie and Emma moved to a new house on french street, with the money from their fathers death (only because Abby died first). In 1897 Lizzie's reputation was tarnished more when she was accused shop lifting two paintings.

In 1905 Emma Borden moved out from the home both women shared, it was never clear why Emma moved. They think its either because Nance Oneil and Lizzie were romantic, although it was never proven or Emma found out it was Lizzie that killed her parents.

Lizzie spent the last twenty-two years of her life in  Maplecroft, surrounded by loyal servants who never broke their silence, even after their employers' death. By all accounts, she was quite generous with their salaries. Lizzie Borden died on June 1, 1927, after suffering complications from a gall bladder operation. Her sister Emma died nine days later in Newmarket, New Hampshire. Neither had children in their lifetime, and so the Andrew Borden branch of the Borden family came to an end. They were all buried in their family plot in Oak Grove Cemetery, Massacusates.

With every thing I have read, I truly believe Lizzie Borden killed her parents, I think she wanted more then she had and she believed if she killed them she would be free and have money. (I could be wrong)

What do you think?
Did Lizzie kill her parents or did some on else?
